"Garden Walk Revisited"

January - February 2027 at the Bloomington Watercolor Society Gallery Cancer Support Community

Charlotte and Jeanne are organizing an exhibit revisiting paintings done at - or inspired by - the annual June Garden Walk.  

Small or large,  any medium, and paintings do not have to be framed!  They can just be matted with a back board.  We will provide clear sleeves to protect your work if it's not framed.

A full prospectus is on its way so watch your email!
Please note, this is not a BWS sponsored show, just one organized and encouraged by Charlotte and Jeanne in cooperation with CSCSCI.

Support the BWS Scholarship 

The Foundation for Monroe County Community Schools (FMCCS) will hold their annual auction November 8-16.  Several donations supporting the BWS Scholarship will be offered including  a basket of watercolor supplies from Blooomington Fine Arts Supply, a watercolor lesson, a pet portait from Linda Branstetter, discount coupons from Marcy LaMaster's A-1 Window Cleaning Service, and other items.

Road Trip to Aqueous2026 

BWS members will be carpooling to Louisville for Aqueous2026, a national juried exhibition put on by the Kentucky Watercolor Society. The date is Sunday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the venue is the KMAC Contemporary Art Museum, 715 W Main St. Louisville. General admission is $8/$5 for seniors.

Those wanting to carpool will meet at the Bloomington WalMart at the NW back corner parking lot to form carpool groups. Arrive early enough that groups can leave by 10 a.m.

Lunch is on your own. In the same block as the Museum is Subway (open until 5), across the street is the Blackbeard Expresso (only open until 1 p.m. with breakfast sandwiches), and a nicer restaurant, Proof on Main, is in the 21c Museum Hotel (open late).

If you are a watercolor artist, this is a great time to commune with fellow watercolor artists and trade knowledge and techniques. Bring your current project and join us!"
